Digium comes with quite a few essential features needed in a VoIP solution. You’re able to use it via cell phones, office phones, and the web interface. Of course you have voicemail, call waiting, conference calling, and almost every other feature a standard phone can handle.
There are a few other features that are worth separate mention.
Reporting
Reports in Digium are divided into two:
- Call logs, which are a running list of every call you’ve made or received within a timeframe you specify. For example, you view information from a daily, monthly, or weekly period. It’s possible to see information like when the call was made, who made it, and how long they spoke.
- Call reports give you a look at your data in aggregate which can be filtered based on a number of criteria such as number of calls, incoming calls, outgoing calls, etc.
Dial by name
This feature becomes useful when you have a larger number of people using your system. Instead of forcing them to queue up or use the operator, callers are able to use the first three letters of someone’s name to contact with them directly.
Voicemail to email transcripts
Voicemail has traditionally been a cumbersome system for checking and managing messages. With direct to email transcripts, you’re able to stay on top of your voicemail messages and prioritize them. Of course, it’s not 100% accurate but it gets the job done.
Custom hold music
This may not be an essential feature but it is a nice touch. You can set up custom hold music (or any audio) for callers in the call queue. It’s a good opportunity to deliver announcements, promotions, or showcase the personality of your brand.
Thank you!
