One of the most expressed notions that users have shared about Zoho Meetings is the fact that it presents a very decent alternative to Zoom and GoToWebinar. This is high praise from users because these two products have indeed become household names for online collaboration and webinars respectively. This fact reinforces the position that Zoho Meetings has gained over the past few years. Although not yet as popular as these other products, it is quickly making a name for itself, carving its niche among the online collaboration, communication, and training platforms used by businesses worldwide.

Free Plan

The Free plan delivers unlimited meetings and webinars but is limited to 100 meeting participants or 100 webinar attendees. The maximum duration of a meeting or a webinar is 60 minutes. For a Free option, this plan delivers a rich set of features, including screen sharing, file sharing, meeting chat and notes, reporting and analytics, virtual backgrounds, and mechanisms for raising hands and allowing or disallowing users to talk.

Meeting Plans

The Standard Meeting plan delivers additional features such as cloud recording, up to two co-hosts, the use of VoIP or telephone for participants, meeting polls, and integrations.

The Professional Meeting plan adds a custom domain, an embedded meeting widget, and multiple co-hosts.

Webinar Plans

We see a similar approach for the Webinar plans, with the Standard Webinar plan delivering cloud recording, integrations, and VoIP and telephone participation. Furthermore, the Professional Webinar plan adds some of the most advanced features, including live streaming, registration moderation and customization, and materials sharing. The cost of each plan further depends upon the maximum number of participants or attendees you will need for each service. Note here that the cost is calculated not on a per-user basis but on a per-host basis, taking into account the maximum number of participants.

Rich feature set for the free plan

The free plan delivers an unprecedented set of features including both meeting and webinar capabilities, reporting and analytics, as well as a collaborative whiteboard.

Participation via VoIP or PSTN

All meeting and webinar plans offer the ability for participation via the telephone, and in particular, via Zoho’s VoIP service users, regular PSTN numbers, or using a toll-free number that can be added on at a cost of £154 per year.

Registration moderation

For webinar events, having a streamlined and customizable registration moderation process is essential, both for keeping track of participants and delivering an enjoyable and easy experience for the participants.

Co-Branding

Improving your visibility as a business is important, and branding is a part of that. Co-branding allows you to prominently display your brand during webinars and meetings in which external partners participate.

No software is required on computers

All of the services delivered here are operated via a browser for desktop and laptop computers. No download of any kind is required. Mobile devices can easily download the free app to participate. Even so, desktop software is available for download and installation but is not mandatory, making the service even simpler.

Integration with other Zoho applications

Arguably, one of the most advantageous features of Zoho Meetings is the seamless integration it enjoys with all of Zoho’s other applications. The free plan understandably has few integration options, limited to Zoho Booking and Zoho Notebook. The paid Meeting plans enjoy integration with CRM, Project, Calendar, Sprints, Connect, Mail, Gmail add-on, and Flow. Similarly, the Webinar plans support integration with CRM, Calendar, Campaigns, Backstage, Marketing Automation, and Flow. The main takeaway here is that Zoho Meetings becomes all the more attractive and powerful when leveraged alongside one or more of these applications, further enhancing its usefulness.

Ease of Use

Zoho products are notoriously simple to use, and Zoho Meetings is no exception. Setting up an account can be done entirely online, literally within minutes. There’s no hardware to procure, and desktop software and mobile device app installation are almost trivial. Meeting hosts, webinar moderators, and meeting and webinar participants and attendees, have all reported overwhelmingly that the product is straightforward to use. Among the highest ratings given for Zoho Meetings are those for ease of use.

Customer Service

All paid meeting and webinar plans include what is referred to as Priority support, while the free plan includes only Basic support. We were unable to find out what these terms actually mean. However, Zoho’s support offerings for all its products include a comprehensive set of tools and communication channels.
